As one of the thousands of councils across the globe, the Ascension Knights in Oak Park, IL show dedication to our Ascension and St. Edmund Parish, the broader community, our fellow brothers, and those in need through our four main principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Our mission is simple, to help others, to grow deeper in our faith, to have fun, and of course do as much good as possible.

Fundraising

In 2023, our council donated $24,000 to local organizations that serve people experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, and domestic violence, and individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

SERVICE

We bought over 2 tons of produce in 2023 from farmers markets and delivered each week for local food pantries. Every month we collected and delivered diapers—over 12,000 for the year. That’s just the beginning.

Faith and Family

We build community through family programs like summer movie nights and Oktoberfest. We build faith through our Holy Rosary group, Lenten Bible studies, book donations, and speaker sponsorships.
